The New Performance Advantage:
Nervous-System Informed Leadership

Creative Intelligence Under Pressure: The S.H.I.F.T. Model™

Regulate Stress. Restore Creativity.

Regulate Stress. Restore Creativity.

When pressure rises, people don’t “become their best selves”, they become their most rehearsed selves. This keynote/workshop gives audiences a practical, experiential framework for shifting out of survival mode and into self-leadership, where clarity, confidence, and creativity can return quickly. Sessions can be delivered as a high-impact keynote, an interactive workshop, or a deeper team training, with tools participants can immediately apply to communication, decision-making, and emotional regulation at work and in life.

Inevitable Thriving: The Psychology of Adaptive Evolution

Why Willpower Fails. What Works Instead.

Why Willpower Fails. What Works Instead.

Thriving is not a personality trait, it’s an adaptive process. This talk reframes stress, uncertainty, and transition as evidence of a system reorganizing, not a person failing. Brian helps audiences understand how growth actually happens, why willpower often backfires, and how to create the conditions where motivation, resilience, and meaning naturally re-emerge. This can be delivered as an inspiring keynote for large audiences or expanded into a practical workshop focused on change, burnout recovery, and values-aligned leadership.

Embracing Paradox: Self-Leadership for Complex Times

Lead When There’s No Clear Answer

Lead When There’s No Clear Answer

The world isn’t asking leaders to be certain, it’s asking them to be wise. In complex environments, the ability to hold paradox, stay grounded, and respond creatively becomes a survival skill. This keynote/workshop teaches audiences how to lead beyond either/or thinking, regulate decision-fatigue, and access a deeper internal compass when the right answer isn’t obvious. Ideal for leadership events, higher education, nonprofits in high-demand spaces, and organizations navigating complexity, change, or culture strain.

Brian was great. His talk and his tapping technique were so powerful. I felt amazing afterwards so I told our organizer we need to get him to address the whole company at next year’s conference. Everybody should be learning this stuff!

Brian's Story

Growing up gay and closeted in the 80’s and 90’s, Brian internalized the idea that at a deep level he did not belong. Society said so, culture said so, and sometimes mean kids at school said so too.

Seeking refuge in the church of all places, he simultaneously found a kind of acceptance from others as he rejected himself more deeply. He had to become straight if it killed him. Or if that didn’t work then he decided he’d earn his way into heaven for good behavior, so he embarked on a missionary journey visiting over thirty countries on four continents determined to do enough good work to be the first homo in heaven.

Tiring of the secrecy and seeking something more he ended up swinging from the conservative world of evangelical Christianity to the extremely liberal world of cosmopolitan metrosexuality that is Oberlin College, where he began to embrace who he truly was.

Years later as an entrepreneur in California, running a production company and a medical marijuana dispensary Brian battled imposter syndrome, negative self-talk and drug addictions before finally learning how to surrender to the mystery of life, the tug of his heart and the inner wisdom that lies dormant in all of us.

Brian is passionate about helping others find and trust their own inner wisdom — a force that connects us all, supports our very existence and has an entirely benevolent nature.

We’re living in an era where the old ways of coping and leading aren’t working anymore. People are exhausted, distracted, and running on emotional fumes, but they’re still expected to produce brilliance on demand. This work is about helping humans come back online—so resilience, innovation, and real connection stop being buzzwords and start becoming lived experience.

What People Are Saying

In my work, I always stress to clients the importance of getting clarity in their message, their brand, and in leadership objectives. Yet it wasn’t until I sat in a session with Brian that I was able to gain my own clarity. I still practice the breathing exercise he taught me every time I need to get focused or make tough decisions. Brian is amazing, and so comfortable to work with - a true coach’s coach!

Working with Brian over the last few months really helped me through a tough transition as I shifted from working inside a big corporate structure to setting out on my own. His guidance helped shift my mindset in just a few sessions from feeling overwhelmed by all I'd taken on being my own boss, to a place where I felt ready and eager to take on whatever's next!
